Hi Mike and everyone!
My daughter will be attending ZCON this year. We'll be driving down with another Z from my local club. I will represent the Scarab community as best I can. I'll send pictures for sure.
Question: How have you explained the Scarab story to those that never heard of them? Do you have a short answer or a poster or flyer or do you just tell them the story. I'd like to tell the Scarab story to those people that seem interested in the best way possible. Is there a web article or something that I can direct them to? I know Randy's book is comprehensive but it is not readily available. Maybe a short "teaser" introduction with a link to more information. That might be something we could create... something simple that explains what a Scarab is (not just a V8 Datsun) and how Brian and Keith created them.
What do you think?
Take care and keep driving!
Sorry I keep duplicating my post as I'm new to this site and keep posting in the wrong area (I think).
Cheers,

Hi Mike,
it's been a long time since we talked. I also have good memories of Branson and meeting all of the other owners. Here's a link to my road trip home:
www.pctime.com/datsunscarab/onehotride/index.html
If you want t hard copy of the files I can get that to you as well.
I hope you can find the time to get to ZCON. It would be nice to catch up with you. Maybe we can find Brian for a little reunion. 😉 Do you know of anyone else who might be attending?
On another subject, do you know whatever happened to the video they took at Branson? It looked promising and it would be nice to see some of it.
Take care my friend and let me know if I can help with getting the Scarab story started
Allen, hello my friend and hope you and family are well. I'm excited that you and your daughter will be attending ZCON this year and representing the Scarab group once again. I have fond memories of Branson and your story of the event and adventures traveling back home together. As for your question ref scarab and the who, what when and where.... I think you have a pretty good idea of the history behind them and how the community has reunited. I like your idea of having something written, and maybe we can do this as a group and have posted on the Scarab web site for all to see and enjoy. I'm not the best writer in the group, but I'm sure there is one of us that is and I would welcome and efforts to move this forward. You seemed to have done a great job with your story..:) If you wish, Id love to have your story posted on here as well for al to see and read.
